I want a short haired cat next time

Every time someone wants to come over to my home I have to spend a good hour and a half on cleaning the cat hair off my furniture. If I had a short haired cat it might be easier, but his hair loves to stick to everything. It is a good thing I am very amused by my cat. I would not trade him for anything but I do want to find a way to keep his hair under control. So I just got him a furminator deshedding tool to help speed up the spring time shedding process for his sake and mine.
