Cleaning up my act

I had a property to sell in Birmingham, the only problems was that I had been renting it out to students for years. My Birmingham estate agents told me that I didn’t have a chance of achieving a good price for it unless I cleaned it up. To be honest, I got no offers for it at all. Never mind “best price”, I was looking at “no price”.
The solution was to get in a team of cleaners. They went over the place top-to-bottom and gave it a “deep clean”. The next stage was to bring in the decorators. Likewise, they painted and varnished and filled holes. Then the cleaners came back in (to clean up after the tradesmen). Finally, and after a few thousand pounds, my property went on the market; and sold; for a good price.
