For building a bar countertop, you have two choices to start with. It seems easier to build an entirely new bar countertop from the beginning. Some would prefer to construct the countertop directly on a cabinet or other piece of furniture.
This alternative solution is usually lower cost since you only purchase the top layer and you can get it in many types. For those who use their bar countertops for various reasons, they may want to invest in a material that protects from scratches, stains, chips, and cracks.
