Bamboo flooring is an interresting process

I was online the other day researching my options on what materials I could use for building my new floor when I came across www.flooring2roof.com/bamboo-flooring.html, a site that has some pretty good information on bamboo floors in general but in the last paragraph I learned how the bamboo floor refining process was done. It is pretty intriguing how they do it and turn bamboo that is naturally a rough and uneven type of material and make it into an even wood finish type look and feel (as far as shape and texture). The look of a finished bamboo floor is a lot like wood flooring but it does have a unique pattern to it that is more like strips than boards.
