A recent fire destroyed our research laboratory at work. We lost a great deal of research paperwork and most of our lab equipment. As one of the leading researchers, I was appointed to head the remodel project and to obtain all of the latest new equipment based on today’s technology. Since I was getting tired of working in an all white lab, I decided to go with a more modern design for our new upgraded research lab. We have a really unusual situation with our home. It’s been in the family for decades, being built, personally, by my father in law. However, it wasn’t his land and no title was ever given. Now that the land is being sold, there has been a bit of legal wrangling to determine what to do. I think they’ve made a fair arrangement with us and we’re ready to let it go. We do need to look into relocation insurance, as we would like to include that as part of our compensation. It looks like they are willing to offer what we are asking.
