    Speeding Up A Slow Computer

    I’ve noticed lately that my computer is slow. I’m not sure if it’s my internet connection or the actual laptop itself. I’m wondering if there is a simple way to test the speed of the internet signal I’m getting before I start messing around with my hard drive. I’ve already deleted the cookies, the temporary internet files and ran a virus scan. Those are the only maintenance tasks I’m really familiar with so I’m not too sure what my next step should be. The computer is only a year old so I’m surprised it’s already so bogged down. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
