German Translator Describes Christmas Markets in Bavaria
November 29th, 2009 by admin
Throughout Germany and Austria, Christmas markets, or “Christkindl Maerkte” are now open and displaying their magical handmade wares and holiday sweets. According to a German Translation from Nurenburg, the Christmas market is the highlight of the year in the Bavarian city. From hand crafted nutcrackers to hand-carved smokers, Christmas tree decorations, and wooden toys for children, the market is a feast for the eyes. But it is also a treat for the tastebuds with its roasted candied almonds, chesnuts, Lebkuchen, gingerbread, choclates, sausages, cheeses and pastries. And, no visit to the Christmas market is complete with a cup (or two!) of Christmas Bowle, a heated beverage made from a mixture of red wine, fruit and sugar.
