The Edelbrock carburetors, under the Performer Series, offer a wide range of products for various cars, ranging from small-block engines to big-block monsters. The Performer Series offers 500 CFM, 600 CFM, 750 CFM, and 800 CFM models. In the scope of this post, we’re going to cover the biggest of the four; the 750 and 800 CFM models.

There are two renditions of the Performer Series 750 CFM Edelbrock carburetors: the electric and the manual. The manual choke version is built for small-block and big-block engines for optimal street performance. The 750 CFM manual carburetors has timed and full vacuum ports for ignition advance and it works well with other upgrades, such as RPM Air-Gap and Torker II manifolds. The 750 CFM electric choke carburetors is made for bigger engines with 402 cubic-inch displacement or more. Although this carburetor isn’t made for use with Torker II or RPM intake manifolds, it does work great with a Performer manifold on a 454 c.i.d. Chevy or a 460 c.i.d. Ford.

The EPS 800 manual or electric choke carburetors are made for use with large cubic-inch engines with Performer manifolds, or most other small-block engines with Torker II, RPM Air-Gap or RPM manifolds. This maximum performance carburetor has a high capacity accelerator pump, improved primary and secondary cluster design, and an impressive out-of-the-box configuration.
